Amazon has a new certification, Climate Pledge Friendly, and thrilled our Savvy Green Laundry Detergent has this new designation.
‘Climate Pledge Friendly and Compact by Design is a new sustainability certification created by Amazon to identify products that, while they may not always look very different, have a more efficient design. With the removal of excess air and water, products require less packaging and become more efficient to ship. At scale, these small differences in product size and weight lead to significant carbon emission reductions.’
3 points that inspired our packaging:
1) Eliminating the need for large plastic jugs through flexible packaging
2) Reducing the carbon footprint of shipping detergent whose weight was primarily in added water
3) Use of US produced super concentrated formula that is safe for sensitive skin and fragrance free
